On Friday, after 57 years, Neary's, the iconic Irish pub which sits on the corner of East 57th Street and First Avenue, will be permanently shutting its doors. A letter was sent out this week by late owner Jimmy Neary's family, informing the pub's regulars, family and friends of its closure.

The Seventh Squad reports the details of a Burglary that occurred on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11:48 am in Seaford. According to Detectives, a 52-year-old female victim was inside her South Seamans Neck Road residence when she heard a noise coming from downstairs. The victim went down the stairs and saw two unknown subjects running out of the front door. The subjects entered a dark colored SUV and fled southbound on South Seamans Neck Road. The investigation is ongoing.
