Mexican food is one of those foods I'll never get bored with. When it comes time to choose a restaurant, maybe we're all going out to eat, I'll never decline a Mexican restaurant. Even the ones that are more Americanized to fit the needs of many are still great. I'll...

Lost dog found alone on Seattle ferry dock heads to a new home
A lost dog found without its owner on a ferry dock in Seattle last month has found a new home. Washington State Ferries (WSF) explained in an X post published Friday afternoon ferry workers found the canine alone at Colman Dock early on June 12. They took care of the animal while the agency, which is part of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), searched for his owner in an attempt to bring him home. At the time, the X post stated the dog was going to be “transferred to animal control soon.”
This Lesser-Known Washington State Park Is An Awe-Inspiring Paradise For Waterfall Lovers
Wallace Falls State Park has everything you could wish for in a classic Pacific Northwest hike: lush evergreen forests carpeted in mosses and prehistoric-looking sword ferns, alpine lakes, big mountain views to make your heart soar with awe, and nine magnificent waterfalls that demonstrate why this region is called the Cascade Mountain Range. About an hour northeast of Seattle, this park is the Washington version of Minnesota's waterfall-rich Gooseberry State Park or Hawaii's Akaka Falls State Park.

It's always time for pizza. Whether you like classics like pepperoni and black olives or a meat lovers or a hawaiian-style or just plain cheese, you can't go wrong with pizza. I was thinking about those photos I've seen on the Internet that have those giant pizzas meant to be shared with friends. It turns out we have one of those kinds of places in Seattle.
Restaurant workers’ wages could go up by $3 or more per hour in Seattle
SEATTLE — In Seattle, restaurant owners are allowed to pay their tipped employees less than the minimum wage as long as they earn enough in tips to make up the difference. “Restaurant owners and restaurant operators are always in fear of making sure people want to come in the door," said Director of Full Service Workers Alliance Simone Barron.
Grammy Nominated Rockers Return to Rock Missoula!
I just recently spent some time in downtown Seattle. It seemed to me that every bar or cocktail lounge had someone playing music. Whether it was someone strumming a guitar or a 3 piece band on a stage made of milk crates. Seattle is saturated with music. Missoula has gotten...

If you’ve travelled to Italy, you’ve likely savored the experience that is dining there. The food? But beyond the food, it’s the people...

Did You Take the Gray Line of Seattle Bus Tour of Twin Peaks?
For decades, Twin Peaks fans have flocked to Snoqualmie Valley, Washington to visit the “Real Twin Peaks.” Despite ABC Television cancelling the series in May 1991, fans continued to visit the many film locations throughout King County, including spots located in the towns of North Bend and Snoqualmie. I recently discovered the Gray Line of Seattle even held a bus tour from May 1 to October 13, 1991 that visited a handful of locations from the show.
Seattle's minimum wage compromise is ending. Restaurants are worried
Ten years ago, when Seattle passed its first-in-the-nation $15 minimum wage, a lot of small businesses were concerned. So the law carved out an exception that let some small employers count tips and other reimbursement. That compromise will expire in January, and some restaurant owners say it could cause big...

Tested and Approved Games for Kids on Washington Road Trips
I’ve made the mistake of having my son use his Game Boy on an ENTIRE trip from Wenatchee to Seattle. I had it all planned out: Get there and park in plenty of time to eat fish n’ chips at the best place to get ‘em: The Owl n’ Thistle. The only problem is my then 11-year-old son, Matthew, had a really bad tummy ache from looking down at his device the entire ride.
