Talk about an offensive explosion. Bishop Fenwick’s football team remained undefeated (4-0) with a 40-13 road win against Archbishop Williams Friday night, scoring five touchdowns alongside a field goal and a safety.

Nate Alder opened the scoring with a touchdown from quarterback Brayden Clifford, and it was all Crusaders from there. Dylan Patturelli (2 TD) and Aidan Silva found the endzone as well, and Clifford took one himself for another touchdown.

As of Friday morning, Fenwick was ranked No. 3 in the MIAA’s Division 5 power rankings.

    FOOTBALL

    Lynnfield 28
    Amesbury 12

Lynnfield delivered a well-rounded performance at Pioneer Stadium, sending Amesbury home with a 28-12 loss. Coach Pat Lamusta’s Pioneers jumped ahead, 21-6, after three quarters and took care of business from there.

After Amesbury struck first, Jared Bernabei, Jesse Dorman, and Luke DiSilvio found the endzone for Lynnfield in an action-packed first half. Tyler Adamo (8-for-11, 146 yards) threw for three touchdowns and found Dorman (3 catches, 60 yards) again in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard strike. Ben Gazit made five tackles and recovered a fumble to lead the defense.

Lynnfield upped its record to 2-1 and currently sits at No. 16 in the Division 6 power rankings.

    FIELD HOCKEY

    Danvers 2
    Peabody 1

Sophia Kassis made 12 saves and Daniella White found the back of the net for Peabody, but Danvers escaped with a one-goal win on its home turf. Panayiota Nikolouzos added a defensive save for the Tanners.

“It was a hard-fought game that went into halftime 1-0,” said Peabody coach Jillian Tobin. “Daniella White found nothing but net on her penalty stroke midway through the final quarter to even the score. Jaylaa Eagan played hard and determined, having an impressive defensive game. Jaylaa came up with the ball and cut short a handful of scoring opportunities. She earned our Player of the Game.”

    VOLLEYBALL

    St. Mary’s 3
    Cathedral 1

It was a successful Senior Night for St. Mary’s, which took down Cathedral in scores of 25-20, 20-25, 27-25, and 25-18. The Spartans upped their record to 6-7.
