    Ithaca PD investigating reported shots fired Wednesday night

    ITHACA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Ithaca Police Department is investigating an incident of reported shots fired that occurred on Wednesday night.

    According to the Ithaca Police Department, police were called to the 100 block of East Green Street in Ithaca on Wednesday, July 3, after receiving a report of a physical argument that involved weapons.

    Man arrested in Yates County on burglary charges

    Police say that when they arrived at the scene, the argument was over, and most of the people who were involved had left, but a witness of the incident told police that they had seen a physical fight that involved multiple people, which was then followed by gunshots.

    After speaking with the witness, police say that they found a glass door in the area that had been damaged as a result of gunfire. After further investigation, police found and collected evidence that confirmed that shots had been fired.
