ITHACA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — An Ithaca woman is facing multiple charges after police say she went into a man’s home and stabbed him in the arm during an argument.

Jessica Leigh Anderson, 24, was arrested on Thursday afternoon after a stabbing victim allegedly identified her as his attacker. According to the Ithaca Police Department, the man called 911 shortly after 3 p.m. on July 11 to report that he had been stabbed.

When police arrived at the man’s home on the 600 block of Spencer Road in Ithaca, they found that the man had a significant laceration on his forearm, and the bleeding hadn’t been controlled yet. Members of the Bangs Ambulance Company and the Ithaca Fire Department went to the scene and provided the stabbing victim with first aid after police determined that the scene was safe.
