Summer Job Tip: Stay Ready
Keep your resume updated in Word, PDF, or Google Docs, and a printed copy
Create a general cover letter
Make sure you have a professional voicemail greeting
Have an interview outfit clean, pressed, and ready to go
Prepare, and practice for phone, Zoom, and in-person interviews - these are standard interviewing practices
Create or find a quiet dedicated space for Zoom interviews, blur or upload a professional background
Check your tech: download the app the day before, and test it for glitches
Review your resume and practice common interview questions like: What are your strengths and weaknesses? Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
