Councilmember Gauthier’s Internship Program is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to experience working in a City Council office. Interns will be integrated into the daily work of the team and get an opportunity to support Councilmember Gauthier’s agenda.
Each year, we offer two paid opportunities. Once those are filled, we prefer to work with candidates whose schools provide a stipend. The Black Doctors Consortium, and the Dr. Ala Stanford for Health Equity are seeking both clinical volunteers to assist with vaccinating and non-medical volunteers to help with clerical support. There are also opportunities for non-public facing volunteers to assist with customer service support via phone. The commitment is a minimum of 2 days/week.
Days: Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday Times: 9am-4pm (please arrive 20 minutes early to all shifts!)

The ASPIRE Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) sponsored by the Howley Foundation in partnership with La Salle University, is an enrichment program designed for high school juniors interested in pursuing a career in nursing. Upon acceptance as an ASPIRE Scholar, you will participate in a number of interactive experiences designed to expose and introduce you to the profession of nursing. After successful completion of the high school program, ASPIRE Scholars receive a stipend of $500, and will be invited to return to participate in the ASPIRE Program their senior year.
