According to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by State Assembly candidate and La Mesa city councilman, Colin Parent, a major road artery is finally scheduled to be repaired.

La Mesans and San Diegans in general have long suffered from poor roadways. But now, Jackson Drive will finally stop destroying the alignment of drivers.

San Diego's aging infrastructure has plagued local politicians for years.

Mayor Todd Gloria famously launched his "Sexy Streets" initiative because of the third-world quality of San Diego County roadways.

Let's hope this is a harbinger of infrastructure projects to come.

Hope abounds in the FY2025 city budget with more than 15 million of the 25 million dollar Trans Net budget is allocated to roadway paving and repair.

For this reason, all San Diegans should keep an eye on progress in the city.
