A recent survey asked bosses about their experiences with Generation Z workers, who are the youngest people in the workforce, born around 1997 and after. The survey found that 74% of employers find Gen Z employees a bit difficult to work with compared to older workers.

Some employers complained that Gen Z workers can come across as arrogant and think they know better than their bosses. Others said that they lack motivation, have poor communication skills, and get easily offended. The survey also found that Gen Z employees tend to switch jobs frequently and are often looking for new opportunities.

Gen Z workers have grown up in a digital world, so they are very skilled with technology, but they may struggle with face-to-face interactions and teamwork. The COVID-19 pandemic made things even more challenging for them, as many of them started their careers without the usual in-person training and human contact.

Despite some difficulties, employers also recognized the strengths of Gen Z workers. They described them as innovative and adaptable, willing to challenge the status quo, and value companies that are socially responsible and ethical.

To better work with Gen Z employees, companies need to understand their tech-savvy nature and provide mentorship and career development opportunities. Gen Z workers expect companies to align with their values and be socially responsible. Companies that can create a positive and supportive culture and invest in their employees' growth are more likely to succeed in attracting and retaining Gen Z talent.

In summary, while there may be some challenges in working with Gen Z, understanding, and embracing their tech skills and values can lead to a more successful and productive work environment.
