The taste of fresh ingredients is one of the truest hallmarks of authenticity. It speaks to the care and attention to detail of someone who knows what they are doing with cuisine. For the best in authenticity and freshness on the beach, La Poblanita restaurant in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has a menu full of amazing Mexican cuisine.

A great dish to start with at La Poblanita is the tostadas, which come in either chicken or vegetarian varieties. The chicken tostadas are a vibrant blend of flavors, featuring savory shredded chicken breast, fried beans, onions, chipotle pepper, tomatoes, avocados, sour cream, cotija cheese, and lettuce for that perfect crunch finish.

“The tostadas at Poblanita are the best,” said local Myrtle Beach resident Kim Gorbenski. “You pick how many you want, so you can get so many for such a great value. The whole thing just looks so pretty, you can tell just by looking at the avocados they are fresh, and darn tasty too.”

One can never go wrong with a burrito from La Poblanita as well. Every burrito comes standard with mozzarella cheese, a fusion choice which may throw some off at first, but do not dare to knock it until you try it. The gooey deliciousness is truly something to behold. Burritos are available in asada (steak), al pastor (spicy pork), pollo (chicken), cecina (salted beef), and lengue (tongue) varieties.

Make sure to check out the exclusive Sabados y Domingos (Saturdays and Sundays) only menu too for some of the best soups by the beach. The seafood, beef, and shrimp soups are all phenomenal, though a personal favorite will always be the menudo - a spicy tripe soup that leaves the taste buds craving for more every time.
