One of the neatest types of restaurants out there, the conveyor belt restaurant, has officially arrived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Offering a variety of Korean-American fusion small plates, Mura Restaurant, Bar & Cafe in the Market Common district brings epic flavor combinations in a sleek, modern atmosphere.

The conveyor belt works in two directions, one going left and the other right, with diners surrounding it at all sides. The color of the plate determines how much it costs. Select dishes and desserts are always going around on the inner loop, available to be plucked anytime and automatically added to the bill, while the outer loop is where the individually-ordered main plates circulate.

Menu-wise, a great place to start are the appetizers, which range from four dollar olive plates to eight dollar gray/darker green plates. The Korean pickles are a personal favorite, available in four varieties, each uniquely accented with a harmony of spices. One can never go wrong with the perfectly tangy house specialty kimchi as well.

The vegetable spring rolls are some of the best by the beach, fried up to that ideal crunch level and served with a lightly spicy and sweet dipping sauce. For the sweet-tooth, the croissant donut is a must-try too, which comes dusted in cinnamon sugar and topped with the diner's choice of chocolate, caramel, or strawberry sauce.

Perhaps the highlight of the fusion main dishes, the KFC Korean fried chicken, is a must-try as well. For fans of the original recipe, you will absolutely not be disappointed, as the taste is right on. Served up in delightfully crispy wing form, the chicken comes with two sauce options as well: soy garlic or gochujang.

For other main courses, there are a number of excellent rice, noodle, and soup dishes in the evergreen and black plate categories. Another personal favorite is the pork katsu, which features a fried and panko-crusted pork tenderloin served with asian coleslaw. No matter the cravings, Mura is sure to have something for the whole family.
