Cruise Ship Crimes Dropped Last Quarter: These Cruise Lines Had the Worst Numbers

The number of crimes reported on cruise ships has decreased compared to the previous quarter, according to new government data.

Between April and June, there were 36 reported crimes, a drop from the 47 incidents logged between January and March.

According to news reports, sexual assaults made up the majority of the reported crimes.

Carnival Cruise Line had the highest number of incidents, followed by Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean.

While the decline is encouraging, it's important to note that these numbers only reflect crimes reported to authorities. Many incidents may go unreported.

The Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act requires cruise lines to report specific types of crimes to the FBI.

This data helps the government and cruise industry identify trends and improve safety measures for passengers.
