Fed Cartel Cocaine Crackdown on U.S. Border
U.S. federal agents are wreaking havoc on the Mexican Cartels' cocaine smuggling operations along the Southern Border. So far this fiscal year, the Chief of the the U.S. Border Patrol says the feds have confiscated over 16,500 pounds of cocaine, worth $181 million dollars.
Migrant Stash Houses Border Busts
The battle against migrant "stash houses" is intensifying along the U.S. Southern Border with Mexico. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) rewards up to $5,000 for information leading to the anonymous identification of stash houses, pill press operations, and methamphetamine conversion laboratories used in transnational crimes.
Cartel Booby Traps Target Border Patrol Agents
The Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol says his agents in Chula Vista, California this month are encountering homemade tire spikes placed by cartel smugglers along the road from which they patrol the border fence. The tire-deflation devices are intended to disrupt those patrols and take Border Patrol vehicles out of service to delay their response to the cartel's criminal activities along the border.
Texas Cops Use Cartel Cash to Fight Them
Although it sounds far-fetched, Mexican Cartels are (unwillingly) funding a Texas Border Task Force confiscating its profits, guns, and ammo being smuggled back into Mexico - as well as the drugs and migrants the cartels are smuggling north into the United States to finance its illegal activities.

Migrant Terror Arrests at Southern Border
Some recent arrests by Federal Agents along the Texas and U.S. Southern Borders are raising alarms about the threat of terrorism and violence by migrants. On August 12, 2024, El Paso Sector Border Patrol Agents arrested Omar Shehada - a Palestinian man found to be on a terrorism watchlist - along with six others who illegally crossed the U.S. border from Mexico.
Texas Border: Migrant Gang Member Arrests Up
More migrants with ties to violent foreign gangs are being busted along the Texas - Mexico border. Among them a member of the Venezuelan "Tren de Aragua" gang arrested in El Paso while smuggling other migrants into the state - while wearing a tracking device U.S. federal agents required him to wear as a condition of release from their custody days aearlier:
Texas vs. Biden: Migrant Barrier Court Victory Celebrated
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is celebrating a court victory over the Biden Administration in a fight over a river barrier the state installed in the Rio Grande. The U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the floating barrier Texas placed in the Rio Grande last year to prevent illegal crossings in Eagle Pass may remain until the matter is decided in a lawsuit which will be heard in a District Court.
