Three years after Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the "Operation Lone Star" Border Security Mission along the Rio Grande, the state continues to tout its results - and expansion of the "Border Wall" is high upon the list:

The multi-agency state effort has (so far) led to over 517,900 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 46,000 criminal arrests, with more than 39,900 felony charges.

Among the unique accomplishments of Texas' "Operation Lone Star" is the financing and construction of expanding Trump's "Border Wall" along the Rio Grande border with Mexico. No other state has paid to expand what was first a federal project along its Southern Border.

In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized over 518 million lethal doses of fentanyl, enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States and Mexico combined during this border security mission.

    Texas has also transported:

    • Over 12,500 migrants to Washington, D.C. since April 2022
    • Over 45,900 migrants to New York City since August 2022
    • Over 36,900 migrants to Chicago since August 2022
    • Over 3,400 migrants to Philadelphia since November 2022
    • Over 19,200 migrants to Denver since May 2023
    • Over 1,500 migrants to Los Angeles since June 2023

Meanwhile, Texas National Guard troops assigned to "Operation Lone Star" continue to install razor wire and fence barriers along the Rio Grande to prevent illegal crossings into the state from Mexico.

Should more be done to secure the Texas Border with Mexico?
