Once again, federal authorities along the U.S.-Mexico border are reporting huge drug busts. Cartel Methamphetamine & Fentanyl smuggling operations continue to suffer significant hits.

Here's what well over a million dollars of methamphetamine weighing in at almost 125 pounds looks like - seized in Del Rio, Texas on Sept 11Photo byU.S. Customs & Border Protection

We begin at the Del Rio (Texas) International Bridge where U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Agents discovered 124.78 pounds of methamphetamine hidden within planters in a trailer being towed into the U.S. from Ciudad Acuña, Mexico on September 11, 2024.

Days earlier, CBP Officers at the Pine Valley, Arizona checkpoint on Interstate 8 discovered nine cellophane bags containing $1.3 million dollars worth of Fentanyl being smuggled by a Mexican Cartel into the U.S.

This huge Fentanyl bust occurred as part of "Operation Apollo" - a federal operation aimed at this drug which was launched in April.

At the same time, Federal and State authorities are also continuing to target the cartel's migrant smuggling operations. There is a lot of news to report on that front from Texas:

In Val Verde County, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Officers recently interrupted a migrant smuggling operation.

And in the El Paso, Texas Border Patrol Sector agents are reporting apprehending 23 migrants in a single enforcement action involving a tractor-trailer.

So far this fiscal year, El Paso Sector Border Patrol Agents have stopped 22 tractor-trailers resulting in the apprehensions of 343 migrants being smuggled from Mexico into the U.S.A.

And finally, from West Texas comes word of the report of the arrest of a migrant previously convicted of illegal entry, weapons, and narcotics-related charges by Border Patrol Agents and Culberson County Sheriff's Deputies

Should more be done to disrupt Mexican Cartel smuggling operations along the Southern Border?

Imagine if Remain in Mexico, Title 42, and asylum claims outside the country, were not stopped by Biden/Harris.
