File photo Jack County students needing something fun and educational to do this summer can attend one of nearly a dozen summer camps for youth. Jack County Extension Agent – Family and Consumer Science Alinda Cox is putting on the camps, which will be age appropriate for children in grades kindergarten through second and third through fifth. All camps will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and have a cost of $35. Camps are: Science and Outdoor is scheduled on June 10 for grades K-2 and June 12 for grades 3-5 at the Fair Barn. Campers are urged to wear clothes they can get dirty. Photography will be grades 3-5 only on June 17 at the Fair Barn. Please bring a camera, extra batteries and a memory card. Sewing, also for grades 3-5 only, will take place June 18 at the Jacksboro First United Methodist Church. The use of sewing machines and scissors will take place. Arts and crafts for grades K-2, will be July 1 at the Fair Barn. Creating fun items to decorate with is part of the fun. Arts and crafts for grades 3-5 is July 2. Campers are urged to wear old clothes that can get dirty. Pinterest for grades K-2 is July 11 and for grades 3-5 is July 12. Campers will have the chance to try things they saw on Pinterest. Old clothes are encouraged. Cooking for grades K-2 is July 18 and grades 3-5 July 19 at the Methodist Church. Campers will get their hands dirty learning how to cook with fun and easy recipes.
