Do you have a taste for moussaka, pastitsio, or souvlaki? If so, several restaurants bring these and other Greek favorites to Ohio so you can enjoy the flavors of the Mediterranean without venturing far from home. The eateries include:

Athena Greek Restaurant (41 N. Main Street, Mansfield)

Athena is where George Axiopoulos brings the best of Greece to Mansfield. He grew up in Thessaloniki and enjoys sharing the dishes of his homeland with customers.

Menu offerings include Greek salads, lamb gyros, and chicken kabobs. For dessert, save room for baklava or rice pudding.

Anna’s Greek Cuisine (7370 Sawmill Road, Columbus)

At Anna’s Greek Cuisine, the chefs make everything from scratch. They bring the dishes to life with the finest, freshest ingredients, and every bite bursts with bold, memorable flavor.

Try the Aegean chicken, lamb manestra, or eggplant zucchini zorba. You won’t be disappointed.

Simply Greek (33700 Aurora Road, Solon)

With just one bite, you’ll see why Simply Greek was named “Ohio's Best Greek Restaurant” by Yelp in 2021. You can watch the action in the open kitchen. The sauces, marinades, and dressings are made in-house, and the chefs proudly boast they never use a microwave.

Dishes include vegetarian gyros, shrimp saganaki, and chicken souvlaki.

Greek Village Grille (14019 Madison Avenue, Lakewood)

Step into the Greek Village Grille to enjoy the best foods from Greece’s gyro shops. Owner Tommy Karakostas was born and raised in Lakewood. He makes the dishes from scratch and invites everyone to pull up a chair and stay awhile.

Offerings include Greek meatballs, loukaniko, and banana pepper saganaki.

Greek Street (101 East Alex Bell, Centerville)

When Chef Chris Spirtos decided to share his family’s century-old recipes, Greek Street was born. It serves something for everyone, and with hearty portions, you’ll never leave hungry.

Customer favorites include dolmades, traditional gyros, and pastitsio.
