With colorful foliage, fun events, and delicious food served by friendly locals, it’s no wonder Amish Country is one of Ohio’s most popular fall destinations. The events draw visitors from near and far, and there’s something for the entire family. Here are a few in 2024 you don’t want to miss:

Winesburg Annual Fall Gathering and Benefit Auction (September 20th-21st)

Celebrating its 30th year, the Winesburg Annual Fall Gathering and Benefit Auction takes place in a charming town where “Americana meets Amish Country.” The fun in 2024 includes live music, pickleball tournaments, and a live auction featuring tools, gift cards, locally-made furniture, and other fabulous items.

    Fall Steam Festival (September 27th-28th)

Step back in time at the Fall Steam Festival. Held at the Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum, this year's theme of "Trains, Tractors, and Traditions" is designed for those who want to “get a taste of the classic Norman Rockwell era of life and leisure.”

While feasting on hotdogs, watch as the Iron Horses of the Erie Railroad Vintage Baseball Club bring the game to life like it was played in the olden days. After the game, hop aboard the museum’s steam locomotive for a ride around the scenic grounds.

    Fall Festival at the Farm (September 27th- 28th and October 4th-5th, 11th-12th, 14th, 18th-19th, 25th-26th)

Get up close to over 500 animals at The Farm at Walnut Creek. It’s home to species from six continents, and from aboard a horse-drawn wagon, visitors can feed zebras, giraffes, and bison.

The farm’s fall festival also includes a pumpkin slingshot, playing in a giant corn box, and watching Percheron draft horses press sorghum cane stalks to make molasses.

    Fall Festival at Lehman's(October 12th)

Don’t miss the fall festival at Lehman’s. An annual tradition, it features fun for all ages with pumpkin decorating, outdoor games, and a clown who will “twist up some fun with amazing balloon art.”

If hunger strikes, Lehman’s Café has you covered. Conveniently located in the middle of the store, it can help you refuel with a hearty sandwich and delicious seasonal soup.
