Step back in time 200 years and visit pioneer America at the 51st Yankee Peddler Festival. This exciting annual tradition draws visitors from near and far who come to enjoy live music, shop for handcrafted goods made by skilled crafters and artisans, and sample colonial foods cooked over open fires. Here are a few of the crafters you’ll discover in 2024:

    Emily Moorefield Mariola

Emily Moorefield Mariola has made pots for as long as she can remember. She grew up on an Ohio farm and always wanted to work with her hands.

Today, Emily creates pieces that are as functional as they are beautiful. The stoneware bursts with color and is designed to bring everyone to the table.

    Roland Paronish

When Roland Paronish, Sr. started turning metal into sculptures for his family, he had no idea his hobby would turn into a full-time business. He uses skills learned as a kid and now works alongside his son to create one-of-a-kind works of art.

The duo showcases their creations at craft shows across the country, and no two pieces are the same.

    Jodi McCullough

Jodi McCullough hails from a small Ohio farm called Field of Dreams Flowers. It’s where flowers are “started as seeds and planted and nurtured throughout the summer."

The colorful blooms are preserved by pressing, dying, or freeze-drying and turned into wreaths, picture frames, headbands, and more.

    Dan Sullivan

As a glass artist, Dan Sullivan creates glass pendants using original techniques and designs. He uses a soft flame, and “once the color is melted into clear glass, the design is imploded and magnified."

Dan constantly adds new elements into his work, and the pendants enhance every outfit, whether for work or play.

You’ll find the Yankee Peddler Festival at Clay’s Park Resort in Canal Fulton. The remaining dates in 2024 are September 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gates.
