Four of Ohio's favorite ramen spots

Are you looking for a delicious way to warm up on a chilly day? Then enjoy a bowl of ramen. This noodle soup is popular in Japan and is now on restaurant menus across the United States. Here are a few eateries in Ohio where you can give it a try:

Hoshi Ramen (2820 Colonel Glenn Hwy, Fairborn)

Growing up, Minchun Li spent time in his grandparents’ restaurant. It sparked his passion for cooking, and today, Minchun owns Hoshi Ramen, where he creates some of the tastiest noodle soup around.

Try the seafood ramen. This delicious dish features chicken broth infused with spicy chili tare, calamari, shrimp, tamago, and wood ear mushrooms.

Speakeasy Ramen (365 Ludlow Avenue, Springfield)

Called one of Ohio’s best-kept secrets, Speakeasy Ramen transports guests to the bustling streets of Japan. This small town gem draws visitors from near and far. They can dine inside or out, and the ever-changing menu keeps the offerings fresh and exciting.

Sample the tonkotsu ramen. You’ll enjoy bone marrow broth covered with pork belly, beech mushrooms, bamboo, bok choy, and other toppings. For a bit of spice, ask for the house-made Szechuan oil on the side.

Satori Ramen Bar (59 Spruce Street, Columbus)

Born and raised in Tokyo, Seigo Nishimura trained in traditional Japanese culinary techniques before opening Satori Ramen Bar in Columbus. He only uses the finest, freshest ingredients, and every bite bursts with flavor.

The menu features several ramen options like paitan. Perfect for a chilly day, it offers fried chicken, garlic, green onions, sesame seeds, radish sprouts, and shredded dried chili peppers in a rich chicken broth.

Otani Noodle (11472 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland)

Specializing in ramen, Otani Noodle is where each bowl is made with a slow-cooked broth that's rich in flavor. The chefs make the noodles in-house and complete every dish with locally sourced meat and vegetables.

For dinner, enjoy the miso ramen bowl. A customer favorite, it features noodles, scallions, corn, broccoli, seaweed, and kikurage mushrooms.
