Are you feeling brave this Halloween season? Then grab your friends and enjoy a frightening night aboard a haunted hayride. Surprises lurk around every corner, so these nighttime rides aren’t for the faint of heart. For endless thrills and chills, here are a few of Ohio’s favorite haunted hayrides:

Brimstone Haunt (525 Brimstone Road, Wilmington)

What was once a prosperous family farm is now a place people only enter if they dare. This adventure brings local legends to life through carefully crafted scenes, and you never know what’s lurking in the shadowy landscape.

Brimstone Haunt is “designed to be intensely frightening.” It runs every Friday and Saturday through October.

Panic in the Pines (3525 North Bolander Road, Genoa)

At Panic in the Pines, the hayride offers a bone-chilling adventure through the backwoods of a 160-year-old family farm. Towering trees grow where crops were once tended, and “wind tears through the pines carrying the screams of souls departed.”

Stop by Panic in the Pines to see why it’s the longest-running hayride in northwest Ohio. It opens at 7:30 p.m. every Saturday in October and on November 2nd.

Spooky Ranch at Rockin’ R Ranch (19066 East River Road, Columbia Station)

Home to Cleveland’s scariest hayride, Spooky Ranch takes the bravest Ohioans on a trip through the Forest of Fear. This 25-minute ride features hair-raising thrills at every turn and boasts live actors and 30-foot-tall animated creatures for one of the "most technically advanced haunted hayrides in Ohio."

Spooky Ranch welcomes guests from Thursday through Sunday until November 3rd.

Forest of Screams (1662 Medina Road, Medina)

Be warned, don't go alone to Forest of Screams. It features a one-mile hayride into darkened woods, where no one will hear your pleas for help. After the ride, enjoy more thrills inside the Mortuary Haunted House or kick back around the bonfire.

Forest of Screams is open Friday through Sunday until November 2nd and on Halloween night.
