Do you enjoy starting your day with an egg sandwich? Then head to one of these Ohio restaurants, where you’ll find classic egg sandwiches and maybe even a vegan option.

Kravitz Deli (3135 Belmont Avenue, Youngstown)

A Mahoning Valley institution since 1939, Kravitz Deli was founded by Rose Kravitz, who had more courage than money. She “created a typical corner store of the era” and later moved it to Belmont Avenue, where it’s the street’s oldest operating business.

For breakfast, try the egg and cheese sandwich. It’s best enjoyed with bacon and potatoes on the side.

Wild Eggs (3240 Vandercar Way, Cincinnati)

Wild Eggs has called Cincinnati home since 2017. The restaurant features elevated dishes for breakfast, brunch, and lunch and offers a warm, casual setting where everyone feels at home.

Enjoy the yellow breakfast submarine sandwich. Served on a hoagie roll, it includes scrambled eggs and grilled shaved ham covered with mayo, red onions, and other toppings.

Cocky’s Bagels (1127 Old River Road, Cleveland)

Step into Cocky’s for some of the tastiest bagel sandwiches in Ohio. It’s a Silver Spoon Award-winner, and best of all, breakfast is served all day. On the menu, you’ll find The Sunrise sandwich.

A customer favorite, it features eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheddar, garlic herb cream cheese, and Cocky’s famous Sauce.

Cravings Café (114 North Front Street, Columbus)

Step into Cravings Café, where every meal is fresh and flavorful. The menu is small and focused on seasonal ingredients, and visitors can watch the chefs bring the dishes to life in the open kitchen.

Try the classic breakfast sandwich. You’ll enjoy a fried or scrambled egg with melted cheddar, rosemary aioli, and your choice of sausage, ham, tomatoes, or bacon on a toasted brioche roll.

Butter Café (1106 Brown Street, Dayton)

Nestled near the University of Dayton, the Butter Café is a favorite among students and non-students alike. It’s open daily for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and every dish can be made vegan or gluten-free.

Don’t miss the everything egg sandwich. This tasty offering is topped with scrambled eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat. Breakfast potatoes will round out your meal.
