Jacksboro High School senior Emma Gray will be heading south a couple of hours to continue her softball playing career in Spring 2025. During a ceremony Friday, Gray signed a national letter of intent to play for Hill College in Hillsboro. Gray, who told her father Donny, a Jacksboro High coach, she wanted to play softball on a higher level. Starting in 5th grade she began to play select ball and went to camps to better her skills. She is entering her second year of playing volleyball, basketball and softball for the Tigerettes after starting her high school year in Archer City. One of her Jacksboro softball coaches, Heath Tullous, said Gray has gone above and beyond in everything she has started both in the classroom and on and off the field. Before signing the letter of intent, she took time to thanks her friends, family, teammates and coaches and for helping her pick a school. Gray said through a lot of research and prayers she picked Hill College over other schools who had asked her to consider them. Gray was joined by her parents, Donny and Tracy and her family.
