Golf teams win at Bowie News Staff Wed, 03/20/2024 - 7:09 am   Alt Text for Image   Jacksboro’s Tigers and Tigerettes golf teams won the Bowie Invitational earlier this month. Contributed photos The Jacksboro boys and girls golf teams both won the Bowie Jackrabbit Classic, held March 4-5. The girls won first place with a team score of 361. Allie Robinson was the 2nd place individual medalist with a score of 83. Dylann Nichols was the 3rd place individual medalist with a score of 87. Chloe Hart fired an 89, Tessa Reynolds a 102 and Brooke Hammond a 108 with Brooklyn Bennett a 112. The lowest four scores comprise a team score. The boys also won first place with a team score of 321. Rhett Hammond won the 1st place individual medalist with a score of 68. The low four scores count as the team score. Ace Walker fired an 80, Mace Mower an 84, Ketch Cearley an 89 and Kolyn Besselaar a 94. Travis Mitchell fired a 98 for the Tigers as well. Other teams that competed in the tournament were Bowie, Boyd, Chico, Henrietta, Holliday, Paradise and Breckenridge.
