Photo/Mike Williams/Breckenridge American Jacksboro tricksters had a successful day at the 7-8 3A Area Track Meet last Thursday, April 11 in Breckenridge. First-place finishes were recorded by Kylie Tullous in the pole vault after a 9’6” try and Landrie Valenzuela in the shot put with a 41’3/4” throw. Tullous was 2nd in the long jump after a 16’11 3/4” leap. BrailynTullouswas 3rd in the 300-meter hurdles in 49.95, pole vault after a 9’6” try and long jump after a 16’6” effort. Other third-place finishes were recorded by Brooke Reaves in the shot put after a 36’1” throw. Finishing in 4th place was Brailyn Tullous in the 100-meter hurdles after a 16.18 time and Kylie Tullous in the triple jump after a 35’2 1/2” effort. Valenzuela was 5th in the discus with a 109’11” throw. Judit Herrera was 6th in the 3,200-meters with a time of 12:59.72. Other Tigerettes who competed include Kylie Johnson in the 300-meter hurdles with a 53.56, Herrera in the 1,600-meter run in 5:54.19, Holly Lehman in the long jump with a 15’3 3/4” try and the triple jump with a 32’5 1/4”. On the boys side, the Tigers will be represented at regionals by Jaxson Hubble who won the seated shot put with a throw of 25’6 1/2”, Jeff Treadway who was 4th in the discus with a throw of 113’11” and Eric Pizana who was 4th in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.10. Other competitors at area were Pizana in the 110-meter hurdles where he finished 5th with a time of 15.37, the 1,600-meter relay team of Juan Marin, Pizana, Brayden Rockey and Luke Sams with a time of 3:37.07, Sams in the triple jump with a 41’6 1/2” effort, Will Treadway in the discus with a 122’4” try and Eli Jonas was 5th in the pole vault with an 11’ leap.
