July 4 week weather: We will be able to pick good periods of weather around storms
There will be several rounds of thunderstorms during the July 4 holiday period. We should be able to plan around the periods of thunderstorms and find some decent weather. The good news is the actual Fourth of July should be dry for almost all of Michigan. The exception will be a few hours of thunderstorms right along the Michigan/Ohio/Indiana border.

LANSING, MI – Michigan residents could receive six additional weeks of unemployment benefits under a new plan backed by Democrats. Hayes Hotel rehab project boosted by $4.5M in state funds
JACKSON, MI - A major historic redevelopment project in Jackson has been boosted by state funding, meaning renovation work could start as early as this fall, officials said. Restoration efforts at the historic Hayes Hotel have received about $4.5 million in funding support from the 2025 state budget through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), city officials said in a news release.
