Yesterday, Gov. Kim Reynolds announced her appointment of Elizabeth O’Donnell Reist as a district judge in Judicial District 7. O’Donnell Reist, of Davenport, Iowa, serves as Senior Assistant County Attorney for the Scott County Attorney’s Office. She received her undergraduate degree from Loras College and law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Girl Scout Rally Held in Preston
The Jackson and Clinton County girl scout and brownie troops recently held a rally event at St. John’s Lutheran Church. The event was designed to promote the Girl Scouts/Brownies and recruit additional participants. The two-hour event included games, crafts, snacks, dancing, conversation and lots of laughs and smiles.
