Another bison calf touched by visitor
Grand Teton National Park is currently investigating an incident that occurred on Sunday, June 4, around 1 p.m. Two individuals approached and touched a bison calf at the southern end of Elk Ranch Flats. The park is actively seeking any relevant information related to this incident. If you were present in the Elk Ranch Flats area on the afternoon of June 4 and have information or can identify the individuals involved, please contact the park’s Tip Line at 307-739-3367. Jackson Giants make big comeback
Following a slump of six losses in their last seven games, the Jackson Giants made a remarkable comeback with a stellar all-around display against the Green River Knights in their doubleheader last night. In the opening game, the Giants secured an 11-0 victory, led by Tate Wiley’s exceptional one-hitter and complete game. Noteworthy performances also came from Hammond, Witt, and Fisher, each contributing with 2 RBIs.
Tourists put Yellowstone elk calf in car
Memorial Day weekend in Yellowstone is a zoo, and this year was no exception. A number of interactions between wildlife and reckless people has resulted in the deaths of several animals in Yellowstone National Park in two separate incidents. Two black bears were hit by cars on May 28th. In response to the accident, Yellowstone National Park stressed that animal fur absorbs sunlight and makes it extremely difficult to spot them. Therefore, it’s super important to adhere to speed limits in the park. The speed limit is 45 mph.

Western Governors to meet
EPA Administrator Michael Regan and Secretary of Veterans Affairs Dennis McDonough will be attending WGA’s 2023 Annual Meeting in Boulder, Colorado, from June 26-28.
