Missing romance writer found in Hawaii
A developing mystery drama that was developing in Jackson Hole has turned a page at least as far as local law enforcement are concerned. Back in January, 52-year-old romance novelist Faleena Marie Hopkins was arrested in Jackson Hole after attempting to drive a car on an over snow only route in Grand Teton National Park. Earlier this week, the County announced that the public facing GIS platform would go offline at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12. Since then, an agreement with the contractor has been reached, which will allow the site to remain accessible to the public until the County transitions to a new platform later this year.

Teton County gets big grant from USDOT
Teton County and the Town of Jackson have been awarded a big grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to complete a Comprehensive Multi-Modal Safety Action Plan. The proposed project will build upon the existing Teton Mobility Project and Complete Streets initiative. Teton County Searchers busy as January ends
Teton County Search and Rescue used their helicopter to investigate a large avalanche on Taylor Mountain yesterday. At about 1:45 p.m, someone reported the avalanche they saw from the Coal Creek parking lot. A Search and Rescue team flew over the avalanche path to ensure that no one had been caught in the slide. The helicopter made numerous passes over the area and used the RECCO SAR Helicopter Detector, which picks up transponders, as well as the Heli Beacon, which detects frequencies from avalanche transceivers. No signals were detected.
