    ‘Total loss:’ Fireworks believed to cause house fire in Jackson

    JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) — Discarded fireworks are believed to be the cause of a house fire in Jackson early Friday morning.

    What to remember if you’re using fireworks this Fourth of July

    The Jackson Fire Department confirmed with 6 News, WOOD TV8’s sister station in Lansing, that the fire happened around 12:40 a.m. on Jacobson Drive, near Lansing Avenue and N Stone Road.

    Two adults and four kids were inside the house but no one was injured.

    Smoldering fireworks believed to have caused duplex fire

    Officials say the house is a total loss.

    The fire remains under investigation.
