Bridge repairs closing street in Jackson Monday

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — As you plan your commute for this week, keep in mind there’s more construction coming in Jackson.

M-50/US-127 Business Route (Cooper Street) will be closed between South and Morrell streets in Jackson this Monday and Tuesday.

Michigan Department of Transportation will be closing the route for bridge repairs. The closure will take effect at 7 a.m. Monday and will end sometime on Tuesday.

In the meantime, officials are asking you to follow the posted detours and to expect delays. The bridge work is part of a $3.3 million investment in local infrastructure.
