JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Mississippi Children’s Museum (MCM) received support from the R.V. Powers and Robert E. Lake Foundations, as the museum prepares for the fourth year of continuing the innovative afterschool program.
The Launch into Learning program serves more than 100 students from Jackson Public Schools (JPS) and 30 students from Meridian Public Schools, with activities hosted at both MCM locations in Jackson and Meridian.
Over 180 days, officials said students engage in a rich curriculum that includes art, literacy, coding, and robotics, designed to enhance their in-school learning and overall educational experience.
MCM’s Launch into Learning program has received generous support from R.V. Powers and Robert E. Lake Foundations for the 2024-2025 school year. Their contributions are instrumental in ensuring the success and sustainability of this program.
