    All you can eat: Tennessee buffets ranked among best in the U.S., according to USA Today

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two of the nation’s best buffets are right here in the Volunteer State, per USA Today’s 2024 Readers’ Choice awards.

    USA Today recently released a list naming the top 10 buffets in the United States, which were selected by an expert panel and then voted on by the publication’s readers.

    Highest-rated beer in Tennessee

    In the final rankings were two Tennessee buffets that are now receiving accolades for serving some of the best food nationwide.

    Red Ginger Buffet in Elizabethton took the sixth spot and was noted for their array of Asian cuisine.

    “Red Ginger Buffet offers diners everything from curry chicken and hot spicy beef to egg drop soup, fried rice, and fried zucchini. You’ll definitely go back to fill your plate again and again,” wrote USA Today.

    According the buffet’s website , folks who visit can expect “amazing dishes using fresh ingredients and exotic flavors that intermingle on your plate.”

    Which burger chain has the most expensive prices?

    Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store, located in Jackson, landed ninth in the rankings.

    USA Today praised the buffet for their Southern dishes, which includes classics like fried chicken, turnip greens, baked cinnamon apples, black-eyed peas, and sweet potatoes.

    “Brook Shaw’s Old Country Store sets the scene for nostalgia in Jackson, Tennessee. It’s part old-school ice cream parlor and part buffet restaurant in a general store setting,” shared USA Today.

    The buffet’s website states the restaurant is located halfway between Nashville and Memphis off Interstate 40. In addition to food, those at the buffet can also experience a visit to the original 1870s home of Casey Jones, several railroad exhibits, and thousands of antiques on display.

    According to USA Today, buffets named on the list were all praised for their “quality offerings at an affordable fixed price.”
