Convention rental proceeds will fund student scholarships
Marquette University appreciates all who ensured the university’s successful support of the City of Milwaukee as it hosted the Republican National Convention last week. In line with the university’s commitment to serve as an engaged member of the Milwaukee community, Marquette collaborated with nonpartisan and bipartisan partners throughout the city to help position Milwaukee positively on the national and international stage, leading up to and during last week’s convention.
Marquette University launches search for 25th president
Marquette University’s Board of Trustees has officially launched a national search for its next president, who will be the 25th in the university’s 143-year history. Elected solely by the Marquette Board of Trustees, Marquette’s next president will succeed Dr. Michael R. Lovell, who provided extraordinary leadership to the university over the 10 years he served in the role. The university community continues to mourn his loss after his passing on June 9 following a three-year battle with sarcoma.

Kenosha bank robbery; armed suspect caught on camera, police seek ID
KENOSHA, Wis. - Kenosha police are asking for the public's help to identify a man they say twice robbed the same US Bank at 22nd Avenue and 18th Street. Officials say the first robbery happened on the morning of April 13. The second robbery happened on Saturday morning, July 13. In both instances, officials say the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded cash from the teller.
Life, Death and ‘A Musical Comedy’
