Jacksonville, AL – The Jacksonville Fire Department is providing free, non-certified lifesaving classes to local residents this summer. These classes cover essential skills such as CPR, basic first aid, and blood loss control, making them a valuable opportunity for anyone looking to improve their emergency response capabilities.

The next class will focus on First Aid and is scheduled for Saturday, July 20th, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Classes will be held in the training room at the Public Safety Complex (911 Public Safety Dr. SW, behind Walmart). The training room is located in the city court lobby at the main entrance of the Public Safety Complex.

These classes are open to individuals aged 12 and up, with a maximum of 12 participants per session. Given the limited spaces, residents are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

To register, please contact Angela Reaves at the Jacksonville Fire Department by calling 256-435-2310 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, or by emailing angela.reaves@jaxfire.org . You can also reach out to Engineer David Bell at david.bell@jaxfire.org .

Looking ahead, next month’s class will be held on August 10th and will focus on “Stop the Bleed” bleeding control techniques.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain critical lifesaving skills at no cost. Sign up today and be prepared to make a difference in emergency situations.
