Creative Agency Splendor Expands South, Opens Second Office in Jacksonville, FL.
Splendor, a leading full-service agency headquartered in Red Bank, New Jersey, announced today that they have opened a second office in Jacksonville, FL. The company recently added a number of new people, strengthening their management, creative and operations teams. Along with the growth of personnel, Splendor also has taken on multiple engagements with clients outside of their home state of New Jersey. Earlier this year, Splendor began working with Shadowcat, creators of bespoke support vessels servicing the Superyacht industry. The client is based in Jacksonville, FL. “It was a natural move for us to set up shop in town with one of our most promising new accounts,” says Jay Sharfstein, Partner and Executive Creative Director. “And through this engagement, we have already made connections and engaged with several brands related to the Superyacht category.” Sharfstein will lead the team in Splendor’s JAX office in both business development and creative efforts. Splendor works extensively with Commercial Real Estate ventures around the country, as well as Architects, Engineers, and Contractors. “In markets where Real Estate is booming, business and commerce always follow,” explains Adam Taylor, Splendor’s Founder and CEO. “Jacksonville is solid financially, there are great incentive programs that make it attractive to businesses, and the residential growth the region is experiencing are all positive signals.” “I’ve attended events and conferences in Jacksonville, and Jay and I have toured the city extensively. I’ve been impressed by not only existing projects and momentum in the city, but also the people we have met. Folks like Elias Hionides from Petra, Matthew Clark’s team at Colliers, and Mike McDermott from Sleiman are all knowledgeable and dead-serious about business, but they also have tremendous passion for their city. That’s something we love to see as we venture into new markets.” Splendor attended the BISNOW State of the Market event in March, 2023 where Real Estate panelists Mike Balanky of Chase Properties and Matt Marshall of RISE: A Real Estate Company discussed the current and future pipeline of new projects, including multifamily, hospitality and logistics. Sharfstein adds, “Beyond the numbers and stats, the city is also booming culturally. Developers like Corner Lot and architects like Bold Line Design are doing some amazing work–projects that are inspiring connectivity and driving progress for the community.” With a solid Real Estate market, burgeoning cultural movement, and growing client base in the region, Jacksonville was a smart move for the 24-year-old creative agency. “We’re looking forward to networking more, connecting with like-minded businesses and growing our business in this great city,” said Sharfstein.

Established in 2004, G.M. Hill Engineering, Inc. (GMHILL) is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB/WBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) providing clients with a wide range of design services and building solutions. GMHILL is headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, and has offices in Alexandria, VA, Virginia Beach, VA, Tallahassee, FL, Panama City, FL, Beaufort, SC, Columbus, GA, Thomasville, GA, and Houston, TX. Over their 19-year history, GMHILL evolved from a sole-proprietor structural engineering firm into a dynamic integrated design-build firm offering architecture, engineering, and construction services to local, county, state, and federal agencies as well as institutional, educational, and commercial clients nationwide and in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. GMHILL focuses on client priorities – supporting the mission, advancement of organizational goals, employee productivity, healthy environments, and energy efficiency delivered through innovative design and delivery processes. Led by the talents and insight of its industry leading team, GMHILL has built client relationships founded on trust and sustained by performance. GMHILL promotes sound business practices while fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and the continual professional growth of its employees. GMHILL is among the relatively few experienced design firms that is also a bonded, at-risk, integrated design-build contractor. With a multi-disciplined staff of 65+ professional project managers, architects, engineers, and constructors, GMHILL leverages the team’s skills and expertise for their clients’ benefit – whether it be through the bundling of services or the use of just one. GMHILL plays an active role in the public building market and maintains a strong grasp on the strategies and practices required to operate effectively in this market. Public building projects often involve several owners and stakeholders, hundreds of participants, thousands of planning components, and countless details. GMHILL’s clients have realized the most effective way to manage and control all these moving parts is to have one firm solely responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from developing the program and architectural plans to the construction and final acceptance. Across a wide variety of other markets our clients have also found great benefit and value in this integrated design/build approach. GMHILL maintains strong presence in the Jacksonville metropolitan area through continued community involvement and projects across the region. Currently GMHILL is working with Duval County to provide structural design for the school renovation and rebuilding program that is improving schools and learning environments throughout the district. GMHILL is providing a unique approach to create designs for four schools that are tailored to each school’s needs as the district works to enhance the student learning experience with modern, 21st century school facilities. GMHILL is also working on structural design for the new Terminal B at the Jacksonville International Airport. The new terminal will support the increased growing demands of the city’s travelers. In the past year GMHILL teamed with the non-profit Clara White Mission, to serve as the Design/Build Contractor for the White Harvest Farms project to repurpose land adjacent to the historic Clara White home into production space supporting the urban farm initiative addressing the shortage of fresh food alternatives in this neighborhood. The project evolved from a simple processing, storage, and market space into a centerpiece of the community with expanded indoor and outdoor market spaces, a training kitchen and enhanced processing facilities. The new facility serves the local community helping to bridge the socioeconomic gap and alleviate the food desert. Please see accompanying image. GMHILL understands the importance of community involvement in all areas and regularly provides business to business support, mentoring and training for smaller business partners, facilitation of educational programs, and participation in local philanthropic organizations. Since its founding and to this day GMHILL provides time, resources and donations to organizations that prioritize encouraging students in engineering and science. https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=gm%20hill%20engineering https://www.linkedin.com/company/gm-hill-engineering/
