Dutch Bros Coffee Coming to the Shops at Race Track Road

Dutch Bros Coffee , a fast-growing coffee chain with a handful of locations in development throughout Northeast Florida, is getting ready to open a new location in St. Johns at 4560 Race Track Road .

The company already has at least four locations in progress throughout the area but recently submitted a land development permit application on April 15 to open at the Shops at Race Track Road, according to Jacksonville Daily Record . The county received a completed application from Z Development Services LLC for a 950-square-foot to-go shop on a 0.75-acre. The company submitted a service availability request to the JEA last December.

Last year was a big year for Dutch Bros Coffee in Northeast Florida. This time last year, the company submitted a site in St. Johns County at U.S. 1 and McCoy Way in St. Augustine . Following this, the company expressed interest in opening locations at 5733 Roosevelt Boulevard and 10915 Baymeadows Road. Finally, late last year, the company submitted a pre-application at the beginning of the month to become a new tenant at Elevation Pointe in St. Johns County. All sites are 950-square-foot locations with a drive-thru on a 0.8-acre lot.

While a handful of these locations are still in development, it proves the company has its eyes set on expanding greatly throughout Northeast Florida. In fact, the drive-thru coffee chain said it expects to open at least 150 to 165 locations this year. Dutch Bros opened 159 new outposts in 2023, of which 146 were company-operated. The company has set a long-term goal of 4,000 shops in the next 10 to 15 years, according to Chain Store Age .
