Eileen Seuter has been named Jacksonville regional director of the Catholic Charities Bureau, which provides emergency assistance, workforce development, immigration legal services and refugee resettlement, among other things, in Duval, Baker, Clay and Nassau counties.

Seuter has about 30 years of nonprofit experience serving "vulnerable populations" in foster and mental health care, substance abuse recovery and homelessness assistance services, according to the bureau. Most recently she was chief development officer at Sulzbacher, a homelessness prevention agency, and earlier was chief operating officer of LSF Health Systems.

"Her expertise will be invaluable," Anita Hassell, CEO of Catholic Charities Bureau Inc., said.

Seuter, a Jacksonville native, said Catholic Charities' "commitment to serving those in need resonates deeply with me and I am eager to contribute to our mission."

She succeeds Lori Weber, who took the job in 2021 and retired in May.
