Christin Eisenbeiss made it a clean sweep — in the classroom.

The University of North Florida senior was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars Team for the fourth time, adding to her selection the last two years as the ASUN Player of the Year.

Eisenbeiss has a 3.94 grade point average in marketing.

Osprey teammates Jessie Cai, One Kashima, Kaitlynn Washburn and Helen Zhou were also named to the WGCA Scholars Team, with Cai and Washburn making it for the third time in their UNF careers. Washburn has a 4.0 GPA in marketing, Cai is 3.8 in financie, Kashima (who has transferred to UCF) had a 3.83 in kinesiology and Zhou was 3.76 in sports management.

Earlier this summer, all nine players on the UNF roster earned ASUN Honor roll honors.

This is the eighth consecutive season North Florida has had at least one player on the WGCA team, and 11 of the last 12 years. At least five players have made it in the last five seasons.

The minimum GPA for consideration to the team is 3.5. Players must maintain their amateur status, have been on the roster at season's end and played in 50 percent or more of the team's rounds.

Ryan Nicholson rallies to win Jax Junior

Ryan Nicholson, who graduated from Nease in June, eagled the par-4 10th hole at the Eagle Harbor Golf Club and went on to post a second-round 68 to win the Greater Jacksonville Junior Championship on July 17 at 4-under-par 140.

Nicholson beat Connor Williams of Lake City (68), Jonah Nacional (70) and Ethan Tak (73) of St. Augustine by four shots.

Nicholson began the second round two shots behind 18-hole leader Alexander Blom of Fleming Island and one behind Tak and Ambrose Kinnare of St. Augustine and Chase Ricks of Fleming Island. He surged ahead with four birdies among his first six holes, birdied No. 9 and his eagle at the 10th gave him a six-shot lead. He was able to absorb a bogey at No. 15 and a double at the last.

Nicholson was nine days removed from a solo fourth in the Florida Junior Boys. He is averaging 68.2 in his last five competitive rounds.

In the girls tournament, Grace Breffitt of Ponte Vedra birdied Nos. 10 and 12 to break away from a tie with Kalia Polete of Fleming Island and won by three shots at 3-under 141. Breffitt shot 70 in the final round and Polete had a 71. Danielle Dailey (72) of St. Augustine finished third at 1-over and Addy Vogt of Jacksonville (73) and Alexandra Drum of Ponte Vedra (72) tied for fourth at 2-over.

    First Coast Women's Championship set

Players from nine states and 11 past division champions will be in the field of 66 from July 22-24 in the First Coast Women's Amateur, at The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach.

Elizabeth Kondal, a Bartram Trail graduate who is a rising junior at Rollins, won the Championship Division in 2022 and Kaitlyn Durrance won in 2013. Five past champions will be in the Senior Division, four-time winner Tama Caldabaugh, Therese Quinn, Sara Phillips-Durst, Kim Keyer-Scott and Susan West.

Mary Helen McElreath is going for her third Super Senior Division title in a row. Past champions in that division are Carol Williams and Melissa Gotfredson.

Christina Steffen, who won the Championship Division in 1999, is making her first appearance in the Senior Division.

Brooks Rehabilitation is the presenting sponsor for the ninth year.
