Florida Jury Recommends Death Penalty for Bank Shooting Suspect
A jury in Florida has recommended the death penalty for a former prison guard trainee responsible for a deadly shooting at a SunTrust Bank branch. On that fateful day, the town of Sebring was rocked by the brutal attack. The 21-year-old suspect, as noted by Sebring Police Chief Karl Hoglund, knowingly and intentionally took the lives of five community members.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — UPDATE: The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Lee County until 2:30 p.m. All of southwest Florida is under a heat advisory again today with particularly muggy conditions already in place this morning and temperatures in the 80s. Temperatures will climb to the mid 90s but with humidity factored in, it will feel like the triple digits this afternoon so it's important to stay hydrated all day. If you're working outdoors today, be sure to know the signs of heat exhaustion and take frequent breaks from the heat.

Every month, the town of about 7,000 residents regularly snaps thousands of automated photos of people suspected of violating traffic laws. The money derived from six red light cameras amounts to more than 15% of the city’s total revenue, far higher than most other cities that run the programs.
