SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — An 18-year-old wanted for murder in Jacksonville is now under arrest for the crime, police officials announced.

Jacksonville Police said Larry W. Taylor was arrested in Springfield by members of the Springfield Police Department and a U.S. Marshals fugitive task force. Taylor is being held at the Sangamon County Jail on a Morgan County warrant charging him with first-degree murder.

That warrant stems from the fatal shooting of Trenton Jackson the night of June 6. Jackson was found in the area of College Avenue and Dunlap Court with multiple gunshot wounds; he later died at the hospital.

Taylor will remain in custody pending a court appearance, Jacksonville Police said.
