Dolphin Women’s Lacrosse Named IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, Boast 21 Honor Roll Members
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association named Jacksonville University as an Academic Honor Squad on Wednesday. To qualify, teams must post a GPA of 3.2 or higher which the Dolphins cleared for the 2023-24 season. Aiding that overall success was JU boasting a Division 1 best 21 student-athletes named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Academic Honor Roll honors are bestowed to juniors, seniors and graduate students earning a 3.5 GPA or higher for the 2023-24 season. Last season, 23 Dolphins were named to the Honor Roll, good for a program-best and second in Division 1 competition....

Jax NAACP Wins at the 115th National Convention
The Jacksonville Branch ACT-SO Olympians went to Las Vegas, Nevada and competed among 1200 high school students in 32 categories from across the country. The home team brought home five medals in all categories. The medalists included: Alexa Akpabie (Dance: Traditional) – Silver; Ayviana Singh (Dramatic Arts: Acting)- Gold; Brea Carbert (Dance: Ballet)- Silver; Jahneen Alexander (Music Instrumental: Classical) – Gold; Kobi Dawes (Sculpture) – Bronze; Branch Life Member Charles Spencer won the Benjamin Hooks Keeper of the Flame Award; awarded for his outstanding participation in the labor movement.
