Four arrested on fentanyl charges in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — On July 2, four people were arrested by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges related to illegal drugs and guns.

The arrests came after surveillance and traffic stops before a search warrant was done at a home on Burgaw Highway in Jacksonville. The investigation ended with law enforcement taking nearly 100 grams of suspected fentanyl and three guns off the streets.

Nathan Allen Aleshire, 47, was charged with:

• Felony trafficking of fentanyl
• Felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
• Felony possession of a firearm by a felon
• Felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine
• Felony manufacturing methamphetamine
• Felony fleeing to elude law enforcement
• Misdemeanor driving offenses

Aleshire was jailed under a $75,000 secured bond.

Malik Martes Maldonado, 26, was charged with:

• Felony trafficking fentanyl by possession
• Felony trafficking fentanyl by manufacturing
• Felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances

Maldonado was jailed under a $500,000 secured bond. He was out of jail on bond from previous criminal charges.

Brandi Rene Cole, 37, was charged with:

• Felony trafficking fentanyl by possession
• Felony trafficking fentanyl by manufacturing
• Felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
• Felony probation violation

Cole was jailed under a $50,000 secured bond.

Justine Marie Manning, 34, was charged with:

• Felony possession of fentanyl
• Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Manning was jailed under an unsecured bond.
