Fill My Heart with Hope : Works From The Gordon W. Bailey Collection

MOCA | Downtown Jacksonville

The Museum of Contemporary Art, Jacksonville (MOCA)’s 100-year-anniversary celebration continues with Fill My Heart With Hope: Works From The Gordon W. Bailey Collection, an exhibition of more than 100 works – many of which by less-heralded artists with no formal training, hailing from the Deep South – from the collection of the notable L.A.-based scholar and art collector. More than 56 luminary artists are represented in this massive exhibition, which needed more than one of MOCA’s galleries. The exhibit is on view through March 23, 2025. Fabric of a Nation

Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens | Riverside

The newest exhibition at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, Fabric of a Nation: American Quilt Stories features 44 remarkable textiles and other works of art created by a variety of makers dating from the 17th century to the present day. The nationally touring exhibition, organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, goes to great lengths to showcase the diversity of America, and shows how the artform of quilting has evolved over time. The museum is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and noon-4 Sundays. LOL Jax Film Festival

The LOL Jax Film Festival, the annual all-local celebration of filmmaking and comedy, returns this weekend for its eighth year. Night one offers film screenings and stand-up comedy, plus a live musical performance by Diev. The fest commences Sunday with more screenings, more stand up and an awards ceremony. Your last chance to catch The Jazz Jam is Sunday.
