    2023-02-23

According to a source familiar with the investigation, Bryan Kohberger, the man suspected of killing four University of Idaho students last November allegedly had images of one of the female victims on his phone.

Bryan Kohberger's phone was retrieved after his arrest. Authorities reportedly discovered images of the victim on the device, according to the source. The information was vague regarding whether the images were ones he had taken of her or if they were taken from her social media.

The source claims that "he had more than one image of her. It was obvious that he was focused on her."

On November 13, four people—Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Ethan Chapin, 20—were fatally stabbed at a Moscow, Idaho, rental house. The four students were slain with a fixed-blade knife by a masked attacker who broke into the house.

Authorities detained Kohberger, a 28-year-old graduate student and teaching assistant at Washington State University, more than a month later. He was charged with four counts of murder and one felony burglary charge.

On December 30, Kohberger was taken into custody at his parents' Pennsylvania home. He voluntarily agreed to return to Idaho to face the allegations against him when he waived his extradition from that state. On January 4, he was transported back to Idaho.

One of the surviving roommates of the victims claimed to have seen the murderer, according to the probable cause affidavit. A "figure clad in dark attire and a mask," according to the roommate, walked past her as the offender departed the crime scene.

Additionally, the affidavit claimed that Kohberger's DNA and cell phone pings linked him to the crime scene.

Officials are still silent on the alleged motive behind the attack, and a judge has issued a gag order to prevent the public from obtaining too many details of the case.

Kohberger hasn't yet entered a plea. The date of his subsequent hearing is June 26, 2023.

For a guy who couldn't score with women it seems he had a fixation on one of them here. Then why kill her? Makes no sense.
