Contrary to popular belief, cats can feel love. They just have a unique way of showing it. Here's how they demonstrate affection.

    1. He treats you like a cat

Cats that groom and sleep side by side are comfortable in each other's company. So when your pet snuggles with his eyes closed or licks you while you pet him, it means he trusts you.

    2. He follows you everywhere

If a cat follows your every move, it's not just because he's hungry. Most of the time, it's a sign that you share a close bond. Cats are curious about you.

    3. He blinks

In cats, prolonged staring is a sign of aggression. However, slow, gentle blinks indicate that their intentions are not hostile; and when directed at humans, it is a way of communicating that you are their friend. Blink to let them know that the feeling is mutual!

    4. He kneads you

A kitten instinctively kneads its mother while feeding to encourage the milk to come in. When a cat does this, take it as a compliment. It means that it feels happy and secure in your presence.

    5. He shows you his belly

A cat's most vulnerable spot is its belly, so it only exposes it to people it completely trusts. But proceed with caution. Not all cats are comfortable with having their belly petted.

    6. He gives you gifts

Cats love to show off their catches to their family. That's why you find all those dead mice left outside your door! These "gifts" mean that he considers you his closest relative, and that's a very strong sign.
