Summer isn't quite over, and for Northern California, this one seems to never end. After a nice cooling off with an unexpected low front, another heat wave is now here.

After a week that saw light rain and even snow in the higher evelations of the Sierra Mountains, another heat wave is settling in for much of Northern California.

After seeing pleasant temperatures in the 60's the last week, San Francisco and other coastal areas will not see the heat as they will have cool weather from the high 60's to the low 70's for the rest of the month as they ease into fall.

As for the more central areas, they will see 80's and 90's across the bay starting Monday and going on through Thursday. The Sacramento Valley though will see the highest temperatures, as they will get into the mid-90's to low-100's. For the rest of the month, mid-to-high 90's with occasional low 100's will be the set pattern in the Sacramento Valley as this long, hot summer continues.
