Julius' Castle, the famed San Francisco restaurant that has been vacant for 20 years, is finally ready to reopen. After 12 long years of renovation, it looks to be ready.

Once known for amazing views, great food, and strong drinks, owner Paul Scott hopes to bring back a little nostalgia to the famed city. The castle is located to the side of Telegraph Hill. Scott, who is a former attorney for the Department of Justice, says the 3-story restaurant needs one thing: a new chef!

Working now as a private attorney for whistleblowers in the corporate venue, he admits to spending over 10 years renovating a restaurant when he has very little restaurant experience. The only experience he has was as a kid when he was a busboy.

Taking advice from the likes of Alice Waters, Scott seems to be getting it. He wants to use the freshest of ingredients and local seafood and again create a special place that locals and tourists will seek out.
