Another earthquake occurred in California; this time the epicenter was Malibu, California. Initially it was reported to be a 5.1 magnitude but eventually was slightly downgraded to a 4.7. Aftershocks up to 3.4 magnitudes have been seen. Experts expect the aftershocks to continue.

The quake struck at about 6 miles below the surface and was felt throughout several parts of southern California. The quakes were felt within 60 miles away, but no reports of damage have surfaced. As per California earthquake protocol, various areas, including bridges and overpasses, are being checked for damage.

There haven't been this many earthquakes in Southern California since 1988, and some are getting worried that it's a pattern that may lead to a large earthquake. Earthquakes have been a large part of the media, but in reality, experts say that even though it may feel that the area is in a dangerous situation, most experts say that the increase is not significant enough to get worried yet.
