Dump Truck Carrying Hot Asphalt in Rollover Crash with Compact Car North Branford
July 24, 2024: At 9:02 a.m., North Branford Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle collision involving a dump truck versus car. North Branford fire and police units were dispatched to the intersection of Foxon Road and Totoket Road. Upon their arrival, it was determined the dump truck was overturned resting partially on a smaller compact car. The dump truck was transporting hot asphalt that spilled onto the road way. Two occupants in the car were treated on the scene and transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for minor injuries.
North Branford’s New Blight Ordinance Effective July 25
